I'm a senior chemistry major who likes to make science jokes.
This is my blog, which started out as comics I drew on a whiteboard my Physics professor would give us during class.
I like science fiction. Star Wars, and Doctor Who to be precise. I play the guitar and piano, and my main mode of communication is sarcasm.

Zombies, Hipsters, Pirates, Ninjas, Superheroes, Robots, etc. are all fair-game themes in which you can have yourself transmogrified in painted form.
ADDITIONALLY, I’ll be giving 3 runner-ups their choice of a 13”x19” signed velvet archival print. Choices are: Sherlock, Ron Swanson, and Inspector Spacetime.

How long this will last:
This contest will run until April 6th, 2012.
You all are the best! Good luck and thanks again to all who follow my little slice of artwork on the web.
NOTE: You must be a follower or subscriber at the time of the win.
Why all this? Well, you’ve gotta write a big check with quite a few zeros at the end of it to commission art from me—and call me crazy, but I firmly believe that in a perfect world, people *should* get to own art AND do things like “pay rent”, “eat food-like substances on occasion”, and maybe even “continue to live”. Two of you can do that, the rest of you… you’re screwed. Sincerely, <3 Sam

I hate to do it, but there won’t be a comic this week.
I apologize, but this has been a very stressful week.
Not so much in school, more in my personal life.
I’ll do my best to get something for next week.
Again, I apologize.

Fun with Science!
Raman Spectroscopy is a technique used to study molecules.
This technique is used to identify the bonds and symmetry of molecules by studying the vibrational information.
The name sounds exactly like Ramen noodles, the stereotypical college student food.
I haven’t made a punny comic in a while, so I decided to go that route this time.

After a long break, He Made Me LOL With Science is back!
This is my last semester of college, and I feel like I’m fighting to stay interested.
That lead me to the Mortal Kombat reference here.
While it’s not science related, it’s the first week back. Cut me some slack.

Next week is finals at my school and we really didn’t cover much this week.
I didn’t want to risk putting something science related on the chalkboard, which might lead professors to erase my comic before anyone can see it, so I just put this up.
I have an idea for next week, but after that I’m out of material unless I just search for random things to make fun of.
If any of you want to send me some ideas to do over winter break, that would be cool with me.

Fun with Biochem!
Ubiquinol is the reduced form of coenzyme Q, an enzyme in the electron transport chain (ETC).
Ubiquinol’s function is to carry electrons between the different complexes of the ETC, which results in the synthesis of ATP, the main source of energy for cells.
Basically, Ubiquinol is the electron delivery system of the ETC.
Sorry it’s a bit late this week.
